i agree with you in someways. looking at someone's hands can tell a story. a laboror, a muscian, an artist, a child, & someone who has lived 80 years all have different stories and you can easily see that through their hands. i think the eye is the most beautiful part of the human body and for many of the same reasons. eyes are just as complex as the hands, however, i think drawing someone's hands and being able to convey the story is a daunting task, and this is why i like your sketch pictured here. i think you were able to capture that.
