How corporate are you?

OK, I'll be a bit serious now. So if you're not in the mood, you can just look at the picture and stop reading.

The news of the week is that a young woman of 31 died few days ago because of "too much work". She was an audit manager for Ernst&Young Romania. You can read the article here - it's in Romanian though, but I guess there are programs that can translate it. To sum it up it says she died after continuous weeks of long hours in the office and constant stress, that she wasn't eating too much, she was always coming home at night and she didn't even have time to talk to her friends on the phone.

Well, I guess we'll never know the exact true situation or what she was thinking, but the point is STOP - stop whatever you're doing and think if it's the life you want and kill that little voice in your head that says "This is only temporary, I will not do this for the rest of my life." The only truth is that "yes, our life is temporary!!!", maybe more temporary than we think so why the hell not loving every minute of it? Starting NOW. Remember American Beauty?

This would have been a nice ending to the post, huh? :). I can already see the crowds quitting their jobs, selling all theirs stuff and going in a trip around the world, applying for that job they always though were not good enough, asking her/him out, adopting a pet, volunteering to help the kids in Africa, having a kid, opening their own shop, starting to take dance lessons etc
Now let me catch my breath and wave to the people :)
Oh, and such a bad timing for that girl to die. Especially now when the corporation's profit went down 20% compared to last semester.

wowza, that is pretty racy! :-) I can see the connection. It also reminds me of an illustrator named Gary Baseman. Do you know him?

Keep it up!!
